For me, monochrome photography strips an image down to its essence.  Strong composition. Intentional framing. Clean contrast. Emotional depth.
There’s no distraction from vibrant tones or competing colours. What remains are the foundations of powerful photography — light, shadow, texture, composition, and feeling.
Monochrome photography forces me to slow down and truly see. The way light falls across a building. The tension between highlights and deep shadows. The subtle expression that might otherwise go unnoticed.  It’s not about removing colour but about revealing truth.  When colour is removed, what’s left must stand on its own.
And that challenge is what inspires me.
